Dear parents and guardians,
I am very sad to share with you that Year 9 Skye has tragically passed away while on a visit to a residential centre this morning.
Our thoughts and prayers, and those of the whole Westcroft School community, are with Skye’s family and friends at this terribly sad time.
Skye was a much-loved member of our school community and will be very much missed by us all.
As and when we are able to, we will hold an event to celebrate her life.
Pupils who were on the residential visit have come home today, and educational psychologists from the council are with us in school to provide support to children and staff.
Please view the Parent/Carer letter for information regarding funeral arrangements on the 29th April
“Following the tragic passing of Sky at our site in the early hours of this morning, we extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to her family, her friends and you all – the Westcroft School community. All of you are at the forefront of the thoughts of every person at Entrust and we offer our support to you at this incredibly difficult time.”
John Doherty, Entrust CEO
