Religious Education

Religious Education is compulsory for all children and is taught in a 1 hour discrete lesson per week. Phase assemblies will also allow for reflection on different religious faiths and practices, social and moral issues.

Lessons are planned following adaptions of the Wolverhampton Agreed Syllabus to meet the needs of learners as appropriate.

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from Assembly or Religious Education lessons. They must do so in writing to the Headteacher. Alternative provisions will be made for your child during these times. The school provides a broad and balanced approach to Religious Education teaching and collective worship so all feel included.
