About Westcroft School

Dear visitor,

I do hope you will find the information on our website helpful. I would like you to understand as much about our work at Westcroft as possible. It is not possible to include all the information about the organisation of the school and work programmes for the children on the website but I hope it gives a flavour of what we do here at Westcroft.

Here at Westcroft we specifically work with pupils who have Cognition and Learning as their primary area of need.

We welcome prospective parents/carers to contact us for an informal visit. If you would like a copy of our prospectus, you can download it on our website.

I hope that our students will be happy and motivated by our approach to teaching and learning and that they grow in confidence, build on their strengths and eventually leave us as well-rounded young citizens.

At Westcroft the curriculum is specifically designed to enable children and young people to develop their personal, social and independence skills. Our intent is for them to receive quality education throughout each key stage to address their individual needs both academically and socially in a seamless manner. Thus allowing them to leave school with a variety of appropriate skills and qualities that will assist in leading a full and independent life. Throughout each key stage the curriculum will embed equality and diversity in teaching and assessment environments and experiences that proactively eliminate discrimination and promote equality of opportunity for all our pupils.
