Students Follow In The Footsteps Of John Muir

A group of learners from S17 have been busy all year following in the footsteps of John Muir, by discovering, exploring and conserving local wild places.

This involved a range of activities such as:

  • Discovering the Wrens Nest National Geological Site
  • Visiting Lapworth Geology Museum at the University of Birmingham
  • Fence Making at Pendeford Mill Nature Reserve
  • Mallet Making at Kingswood Trust
  • Learning how to use a bow saw
  • Learning about Elf and safety
  • Wheel barrow driving test
