Schools Updates – Sixth Form
For our Skills for Working Life qualification some of the 6th form are doing a unit called ‘woodland kitchen’.
So far, we have been learning about fires, how to start them in different ways, maintain them and most of all be safe around them! We are then going to make a cup of tea on the fire, boil and simmer vegetables and then fry some bacon for a sandwich! It’s not been too easy so far as it seems like it’s done nothing but rain but we are hopeful that things are going to improve!
We are also taking every opportunity to get outside (safely) in the fresh air. Here are some pictures of us practising scootering whilst studying for our ‘getting out and about’ accredited course. It was great fun!
