Parent Information RE Coronavirus

Dear Parent/Carer,

Further to the information on our website, I wanted to provide reassurance to you about the contingency plans we have put in place should the Government decide to delay the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), by implementing measures such as closure of schools.

I continue to meet regularly with my senior team to monitor the latest information from the Department for Education and Public Health England. Current advice remains that good personal hygiene is the most important way to tackle coronavirus. We have therefore taken the additional measure of ensuring that any sports fixtures involving other schools do not include the customary shaking of hands and would ask that you also refrain from shaking hands with other parents and staff at any forthcoming Parents’ Evenings, school events or fixtures.

For now though, should you want to remain up to date with the Government’s official advice, please visit their website:   Alternatively, the Department for Education also have a helpline to answer any questions.

We will of course keep you updated should the School’s position change over the coming weeks.

With best wishes
