Key Stage 4 (Phase 4)
The Phase 4 programme prepares pupils for the transition to a Post 16 placement either with us, at college, a training provider or employment, whist consolidating academic and further developing life skills.
Pupils follow the National Curriculum requirements however this is supported by an emphasis on increasing vocational, independence and life skills.
Careers Education and Guidance (CEIAG) is central to the programme, the school ensures that all pupils receive their own entitlement to CEIAG. Phase 4 pupils consequently have the opportunity to experience a wider ranging curriculum with vocational and social opportunities.
Where appropriate pupils have the opportunity to gain Entry Level and Vocational qualifications depending on their level of ability. Within their last year of schooling individual pupils may be given the opportunity to experience sheltered work experience.
Travel Training is offered to individuals who are deemed suitable.
Residential opportunities are available if they chose.
